I was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Chicago Heights, Illinois where I began my basketball career. I attended Mount Carmel High School and was named a Parade Magazine All American my Senior year. After high school, I attended Marquette University and was coached by the legendary Coach, Al McGuire, where I was named 2nd team All American in my Senior year. In 1976, I was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks and played from 1977 to 1980. I retired after playing for the Kansas City Kings from 1980-81. In 2015, I became the third player in NBA history to receive my Doctoral Degree in Organizational Leadership.
Leaders guide and facilitate others to make a positive difference in their own lives through stewardship and encouragement. By focusing on what I believe and value, I can have a far more reaching impact on the lives of the athletes. I build on this understanding through respect for others and the process of integrity and compassion for those whom I serve. By helping, guiding, and coaching current and former athletes from where they are to where they want to be, during and after their playing career. I created Life Long Winners to help, guide and support them beyond their respective athletic career.
I empower my clients to embrace and own that they can do more than dribble a basketball, run with a football, and catch a baseball. Through my empirical observation of Athletes and his own personal story of triumphs, trials and tribulations, he understands most athletes have only touched the surface of what they can accomplish off the court and field with their creativity, focus, intelligence commitment and leadership. The aforementioned is supported by the myriad of business ventures and companies athletes own or have partnership in. Life Long Winners was created so athletes can plan and build the life they want, the way they want and to remain Life Long Winners.

I remember contemplating about getting my master’s degree. I spoke with Dr. Walton, who told me not to procrastinate and encouraged me to start right away. I enrolled and Dr. Walton told me he would support me every step of the way and not to quit. I was in the program for two years and as he promised, Dr. Walton was there until the end.”
Dr. Lloyd Walton has been a tremendous mentor for me in my life away from sports. His care and determination to see me, and my peers, to succeed away from the playing surface is what I value most in my relationship with him. I will continue to go to him for advice throughout my life and I think that alone speaks to the value he can bring to your life.
Over the last couple of decades, I’ve had the privilege of working with Dr. Walton as he has inspired countless athletes as myself to continue to pursue their dreams. With Dr. Walton’s guidance athletes can successful prepare for life during and after their playing career is over.
