The Legend

Alfred James McGuire, aka, Al McGuire was an American college basketball coach and broadcaster. McGuire was the head coach for Marquette University from 1964 to 1977. In his final season at Marquette, he won the national championship. In 1992, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Dr. Lloyd had the privilege of playing for McGuire during his collegiate career, 1973-1976.
